There are more to life other than crying, eating and sleeping. You knew that, I knew that but your baby just learnt that.
As their waking hour stretches, there are more things to play and less time spent snoozing. Of course, they still need a lot of sleeping hours but not as much as when they were 1 month old.
To aid in their overall development, you can offer plenty of brightly hued toys as they were often captivated by bright colours and high contrast patterns.
Try as best as you can to not let them look at your smartphone screen. There are too many uncertainties regarding its long-term health implications especially if its being introduced to someone as young as 2 months old.
If your baby squirm or starts fussing over, that’s an indication that they had enough. Don’t go overboard, they might not like it. Let them roll over and you would realize that they were trying to put together consonants and vowels.
Ah-goo might not be impressive but for them, it’s certainly is.
At 2 months old, they are unlikely to develop stranger anxiety just yet. They would smile to anyone trying to showcase their gum while playing around. Try to put them in front of the mirror. I’m sure it is not only exciting for them but to you as well.
At this age, they don’t realize that the dude they were staring at their own reflections. Fascinating isn’t it? Can you imagine someone being fascinated by their own reflection without knowing its theirs? Funny.
In terms of breastfeeding, they were expecting 6 to 10 times within 24 hours period so don’t be alarmed if your baby easily triggered by hunger. For some mothers, it can be an issue since they have been gulping a lot but few have made their way out.
Don’t worry. As your baby is getting bigger, so does their bowel. This would allow waste to hang around longer before it would be expelled out.
Don’t forget to bring your child to their monthly checkup. Their growth would be monitored and they would receive three kinds of vaccine; DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus pertussis), polio vaccine and Hib (haemophilus influenzae).
